Posted on 06 September 2010 by Matt Mutz

Is your group in need of financial support?

Throughout the year the Oshkosh Jaycees have organized community events like the Easter Egg Hunt & Children’s Day Parade, and have held fund raising projects like Brews ‘n Blues and the upcoming Oshquerade. It is now the time of year when we begin the process of distributing the funds we have raised back to the Oshkosh Area Community. Please take a moment to review the following document for information and for an application. Completed request for proposal applications must be postmarked by October 1, 2010 in order to be considered. If you have additional questions, please contact Jason Rosenau, Management VP at jason.rosenau@oshkoshjaycees.org or call (920) 475-1298.

Oshkosh Jaycees 2010 School Supplies Drive

Posted on 03 September 2010 by Matt Mutz

The Oshkosh Jaycees are partnered with Washington Elementary School through the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Partners At Learning (PAL) program (http://www.oshkoshchamber.com/pals). Through this program, the Jaycees are able to provide the staff and students at Washington with support throughout the school year.

The Jaycees recently conducted their fifth annual school supplies drive for Washington. Members donated notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, scissors, and much more! These items will be given to students that are in need of the supplies at their Open House. Washington Principal Erin Kohl has thanked the Jaycees for their generous donation.

The PAL school supplies drive is one of many ways the Jaycees give back to our community.

Easter Egg Hunt Attracts Hundreds

The Oshkosh Jaycees 11th annual Oshkosh Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at South Park, was a huge success. Over 700 children and their families attended the free event.

Children were able to participate in activities such as a coloring contest, face painting, a jump castle, touring a police car and fire truck, and getting pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

Each child got to pick one egg during the hunt and return it for a prize. All children received a goodie bag stuffed with toys, candy and coupons. Nine children received special prizes – beach toys, art supplies, board games, Milwaukee Brewers tickets, EAA Airventure Museum tickets, and large stuffed animals.

Thank you to our major area sponsors, Sadoff Iron & Metal and Fox Valley Savings Bank; our small area sponsors, AIA Corporation and Oshkosh Corporation; our many in-kind sponsors; and all of our participants. Next year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 23. To learn more, call the Oshkosh Jaycees at 920-385-9231 or email eeh@oshkoshjaycees.org.
